The Japan Football Association is threatening to shut down the Blue Lock project entirely unless they can prove their absolute worth. To save the program, the Blue Lock select players must face off against the official Japan Under-20 National Team in a massive, televised exhibition match. To determine the starting lineup for this historic event, Ego initiates the Third Selection tryouts. Isagi is placed into a trial match alongside the top two players, Rin Itoshi and Ryusei Shidou, forced to find a way to coexist with two absolute monsters.
