The three years of intense, grueling preparation fly by, and the Z-Warriors assemble at the designated location to confront the mechanical threat predicted by Trunks. Two mysterious figures, Android 19 and Android 20, appear and begin ruthlessly draining the energy of the heroes. During the chaotic confrontation, Goku steps up to fight but is suddenly incapacitated as the fatal, future heart virus begins violently ravaging his body. Just as Android 19 moves in for a fatal strike, Vegeta arrives on the scene and shocks everyone by transforming into a powerful Super Saiyan himself. With cold, calculated brutality, Vegeta completely obliterates Android 19, forcing a terrified and desperate Dr. Gero (Android 20) to retreat back to his hidden laboratory.
