Intrigued and sadistic, Cell decides to intentionally torture the boy by spawning a pack of miniature, ruthless clones called the Cell Juniors to brutally assault the helpless Z-Warriors. The turning point arrives when the peaceful Android 16 makes a desperate attempt to intervene, only for Cell to mercilessly crush his head into pieces. Watching the innocent Android die triggers an explosive mental snap inside Gohan, shattering his emotional limits and transforming him into an ascended, lightning-infused Super Saiyan 2. Filled with cold fury, Gohan completely decimates the Cell Juniors.
