Single mother Brooke Sullivan accepts a much-needed, high-pressure job as a nurse practitioner at a high-security maximum-security prison, returning to the hometown she fled years ago. The facility houses Shane Nelson, a cold-blooded convicted killer who happens to be Brooke's high school sweetheart and the biological father of her young son. Shane maintains his absolute innocence, claiming he was framed by a dark conspiracy, and begins a highly manipulative campaign to win back Brooke's trust from behind bars.
