A massive, terrifying storm gathers over Tokyo as a militant, extremist ghoul organization known as the Aogiri Tree makes its explosive debut. Led by powerful executives like Tatara and the psychotic Yamori (Jason), Aogiri forces invade the 20th Ward, systematically crushing local resistance. Their primary target is Ken Kaneki, whose unique half-ghoul nature has caught the attention of their mysterious leader, the One-Eyed King. Aogiri shock troops launch a full-scale raid on Anteiku, easily overwhelming the staff and kidnapping a helpless Kaneki. Realizing the grave danger, the remaining members of Anteiku, alongside some unlikely allies, assemble a desperate rescue party to infiltrate Aogiri's fortress.
